RAINED OUT As many of you know, we were rained out from our first live event. It was 11:00am, and we were just getting ready to head to the park, when two quick storms rolled through dumping buckets of rain and small, pea sized hail. I am so thankful that we didn't have any equipment unloaded yet. When we arrived at Skyview lake, we were told that the event was moving indoors, and that the top 3 bands were going to be the only ones performing. So.....back to the church to unload all of the equipment. I know the guys were pretty bummed out about not playing. They practiced so hard. But by the end of the evening we knew that God had everything under control and that there was a reason He didn't want the event outside this year. The event was moved to Divot's Event Center. And by the end of the night, when the lead singer for Seventh Day Slumber gave his testimony, and gave an alter call, we watched over 200 people either give their lives to Christ, or recommit their faith in Jesus. It was definatley a God planned and God ordained event. I don't think that many people would have taken the opportunity to kneel at the alter in a mud hole, in the middle of the pouring rain. It was something awesome to witness, and really put into perspective the bigger picture of things. There will always be other event's to perform at. There will be plenty of opportunities to share our faith through music. But June 7th, 2009 at 10:30 pm, lives were forever changed and that my friends is what it is all about!! SAVING A LIFE!! God Bless Savior's Calling
